"Re: Unsound exegesis?"
Dear Shawn McDonnell,

I just happened to come across your review dated 22 Nov 2004 on 5 Dec 2004.

You based your analysis just on the short preview of the B&W text. I have the entire color PDF available for download here for free:

The Sourcebook (vol 2) is basically the notebook from which I created The Jewish Trinity (vol 1) available for sale for as little as $12.xx (see www.yoel.info).

You said that in one OT verse I interpreted the “sun” to be “Son” based on the similarities of the words. Nothing could be further from the truth. You’ll recall that a person (Satan/King of Babylon) is denoted by Venus in Isa... More > 14:12. In other parts of Scriptures astral bodies signify persons (e.g., 2Pe 1:19; Rev 1:16; 22:16). So here in Malichi 4:2 the Sun of Righteousness denotes a person—the Son of God. Nevertheless, the doctrine of the Trinity does not stand or fall on how one translates Mal 4:2.

The Hebrew grammar that you cite I thoroughly debunk in Volume I, which was reviewed here on the seminary level:

So, please do take some time to review both books. Thanks! Yoel Natan < Less
