A parody of the first book in the Twilight series. Friggen' Gorgeous moves to the town of Spatulas and falls in love with a mysterious green space alien...
"Read at your own risk..."
This book is amazingly funny. It pokes fun at the Twilight series in a way that makes avid Twilight fans and anti-fans alike love it. There is no way not to enjoy this book.
I feel I must warn you in all fairness that there are risks to reading this book.
1. You will laugh so much and so loudly you might sprain something.
2. You might lose your heart to Xlormp.
3. You will talk about the book so much that your friends will think you are crazy.
It takes a lot to make me lol - but this book did it. Every page had me rolling - Xlormp has endeared himself to my heart. I will forever be a faithful fan!
If you read this book and didn't find a single bit of it funny, cut open your arm. You will find wires and metal, you emotionless android, you. This book is a brilliant parody of Twilight, and had me laughing for a while. Purple prose, ridiculous adjectives and adverbs, and almost literal cardboard cutout characters come together to produce a gem of a parody that should make both supporters and haters of the Twilight series end up laughing.
"Creative and hilarious wordplay"
This book had me giggling all over the place. The author's choice of words is wonderful and her ability to deconstruct Twilight and zero in on where the laughs should occur is masterful. A fun read, especially if you've read Twilight. Go Team Xlormp!
