"The Ramblings of an Indian in South America" A fabulous read! From a contemplative moment by the side of the pond to a multi-faceted adventure on the other side of ‘the pond’ we follow a journey both of body and mind. Before long you feel a part of the voyage.
I normally enjoy the diary style novel as you can pick it up, read just a day or two in a few spare moments, put it down again and come back for more when you have time, maybe weeks later. However, this time I felt I had to go on and find out what happened tomorrow!
The author, involves you in her day to day life adventure. It’s not often that a book gives you the sensation that you were really there, the characters becoming a part of your life! But I felt I personally knew the characters and had lived the experiences first hand.
I wonder where the author is now and what she is doing. I eagerly await the next instalment of her travels to see the long-term impact of her expedition of discovery.

"The Ramblings of an Indian in South America" This is a very enjoyable book that really held my interest from start to finish, largely due to Nellie’s vivid descriptions of the people and places. I particularly enjoyed the parts about her time working in the Children’s Street Project, which are at times humorous and at other times very moving.
I would recommend this book to anyone, but especially those who love to travel and those who have ever dreamed about leaving the rat race behind and taking off on an adventure.

"The Ramblings of an Indian in South America" This is a super book. Anybody who loves adventure travelling will enjoy the trip through this novel. I especially liked the philosophical elements because no journey is complete without some well condidered reflections. Nellie really makes you think - not just about travelling but life's journey.
