It was like a more-educated and more obsessive-about-this-movie version of myself wrote myself a book in order to have a transtemporal conversation about one of my favourite movies.
Y'know, the usual.
A great read, and the perfect starting point for in-depth conversations with like-minded 'Bridies'.

"She doesn't get it"
Ms. Johanson reads William Goldman's wonderful book at a very superficial level. She doesn't get what it is really about, a man who is discovering that the romance he dreamed of as a child doesn't exist in his adult life. The romance in Goldman's novel is wonderful but to miss what is going on behind the story is tragic.

My book is about the movie, not about Goldman's novel. The two are very different creatures.
