"The Valley of the Singing Girl"
I enjoyed the "The Valley of the Singing Girl" and how the story was written. White Feather's excellent writing is so refreshing and has a with-it-now voice. Here is one part I had liked from early in the story (Recktold is speaking): "Notice I use us and we; as though I am one of you reading this. I am. I am a grand soul just like each of you. But I am no better or worse than any of you. I'm not some holier-than-thou spook who sits above everyone else, tossing out aphorisms like dried bread to a gaggle of hungry geese." LOL I knew as I settled in this story that not only was I going to have a good read, but an insightful one.

The story, to me, is... More > about Love. Love of self and being within the Divine Love in Oneness. If only we could love ourselves and draw from that Divine wellspring!

In "The Valley of the Singing Girl," the 12-year-old girl surrenders. She allows the love in herself to pour out. She sings.

Recktold searched and searched trying to find the answer outside of himself. Then, in a moment of surrender, he could play the flute as the girl had sung. He realized the "singing voice" was inside him.

This is a very inspiring, wisdom filled little story. I feel this "voice", this story, will be such a treasure and a blessing for anyone who reads it as it was for me.

Love & Joy,
Anna~Thundering Wind
