"Wow" A friend of mine handed me this book, and I can't believe we hadn't heard from this guy before. Are you kidding me? He likes bands, bars, beer, and girls, and knows how to write about all of them -- in unique and gracefully underwrought fashion. And he knows how to tie each of them into deeper thematic memes that Mark traipses through like Marlon Brando (circa 2002 or so) plodding through an agility drill. Life HAPPENS to Mark, and we miss none of it here. And when Mark does decide to make something happen, it's just ear-splittingly important enough to twist the stakes in this story higher.

Great, great stuff. Give us more.
