"Long overdue book is very good " This book is fantastic because it's completely told through interviews with the people who were right there,Tommy's family, friends and bandmates. This story is exactly what those around him actually saw and experienced and it pulls no punches.Very straightfoward and graphic. If you want to know about the great Tommy Bolin, this book gives you his story from beginning to the heartbreaking final hours, and more. Thanks to Greg for his work. In St. Louis, we had and have a great radio station KSHE, where I first heard Tommy Bolin in 1975. In the dorms in college, everyone would share their great "finds" in music, Bolin was mine. The Teaser and Private Eye's albums, I had to be purchased several times, either a scratch, or someone would do a non return from the lending library the "Peaches Crate of LP's" . It was funny, friends now 30 years later from college get together and ask me if I have Tommy on my I-phone (which I have about everything I can get my hands on over the years). A few of us also had a ritual of playing our favorite finds to get us pumped up for a a tough final, before marching out of the... More > dorms, mine was Post Toastie, a near 10 minute blast and out for test time. I was always telling people about this great artist, and then as quick as I discovered Tommy, he passed away. It seems we always want more, but even then, and, over the years, learning his life story, as so well told hear, these passages, show what drugs robbed us of, it was not only how great this individual came into our ears, and yet how fast that December of 1976 it can be all taken away. Still, now in my fifties, I will go on a Tommy stint for a few months and find new material such as this to truly enjoy, and continue learn and find enjoyment from an artist that was just in his youth. < Less

"Tommy's magic and dramatic story" Tommy Bolin is my guitar hero from the time I was a kid. Now thanks to this marvellous book you fully entered his history from the beginning of his carrer, and you got the possibility to know every single detail of his musical and life style approach. Thanks Greg, really a great job, Tommy deserved this effort! At when a Film movie about him?
