Here we have the third issue of Altus Press's "magazine" of new hero pulp stories. For more info on Altus Press, see them at altuspress.com This is another all Tom Johnson collection. We have 2 new stories of classic pulp heroes, and a new story of a new pulp hero. First off, we have a Black Bat story. The Black Bat was part of the third wave of hero pulps, and was blind DA Tony Quinn, who can see in the dark, and dressed in an all-black outfit with a bat-link cape. Next is a Phantom Detective story. The Phantom was a long running pulp hero, and was really rich playboy Richard Van Loan. Finally, we have a new pulp hero, The Masked Avenger. This is the second published story of this character, but the first written. He last appeared in the 2nd issue of Triple Detective. If you love new stories of classic pulp hero, this is a book to get.
