Starts with the hatching of a tiny tree cricket baby named Trixie from her egg inside the branch of an apple tree -- shows her as a youngster -- then growing into an adult female and meeting a singing male named Troy. The story ends with Trixie laying her own eggs in the same beautiful apple tree where she grew up. Each page is brightly colored and features actual photos of a Davis' Tree Cricket.
