"Veronica - Douglas Holleley" Having been an avid admirer of Holelley photographic gymnastics for many years I can truly say this is one of his finest works. While I don't claim to understand the technical expertise involved nor be a respected critic of art I do, as an everyman, understand and respect the emotional connection I always feel when presented with a Holleley image.
I knew he could evoke this emotional response with his photography of people and places but I was astonished to discover he could touch my secret self with images of rock and tide.
Damn! Now I'll have to take even more care over this fragile planet!

"Veronica by Douglas Holleley"
Ever wonder what might have come from the two giants of photography, Minor White and Edward Weston, had they had digital cameras and computer software? Douglas Holleley’s Veronica, a book of exceptional fine art photographs, provides the splendid answer. Focusing on our universal attraction to the magic place where the earth meets the water, Holleley’s photographs brilliantly unveil the mysteries of life written in the eroded rock of the Australian coast of his childhood.

Who should buy this book? Geologists and Australia-philes will surely discover new information with the repeated study of the numerous images. Collectors will want to own... More > Veronica for its stunning reproductions and elegant design. Whether we collect photographs, stones, or stories, this book will satisfy that desire to have and to hold what we love, what we fear. The magnificent beauty of the photographic images will even tempt us to contact the author, not only to buy the book for our friends, and ourselves but also to inquire about the price of individual prints. Veronica is highly recommended as a book that celebrates in visual metaphor the awesome power and glory of the natural world. This is a book that everyone will want to own.
