"Love the start - can't wait for more!"
What a terrific start to what promises to be an absorbing tale of heroism, friendship, and the search for freedom and truth. All of the main characters begin a journey, each of which draws us deeper into the story, and well as deeper into their personal quests, and each of which seems as though it will soon intersect to form the heart of the novel. The boy Vandar begins his search for manhood, the priest seeks justice and strength, and the girl Petra longs for deeper meaning and purpose. Their faith in the Old Belief and it's roots in The Wood, the dominating power of the True Belief, and the strange blue-skinned Masters, are all mysteries awaiting further unfolding, and I can't wait to find out what happens, how they will intersect, and what it all means... If you enjoy a good alternate world fantasy wrapped in a battle of religious forces, you will love the start of this story!
