If you live in Arizona, and want to plant fruit trees, it is very difficult to figure out what you can grow. There is such a huge range of "climates" in our beautiful state, and just because something that might grow in a California, or Florida Zone 9, doesn't mean it will survive our summer heat in the AZ desert. As someone who grew up here, and knows many people with orange and grapefruit trees, I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to find something a bit more unique. Sadly, the information on what we can grow is very difficult to come by. The information gathered by Catherine (The Herb Lady), along with her list of trees that have been both successful and unsuccessful for her, is exactly what I have been searching for, so that I can move forward with our own fruit gardening.
