"Winter Pink Skies"
A gay romance story with a Dom/sub undercurrent.

The story is set on a hot summer Saturday. The events of the day are alternately told from the viewpoints of both lead characters. Lee is a florist, a disgruntled one who is at odds with his partner Tony for a variety of reasons. On the day in question Lee makes an announcement at breakfast that does not go down well and consequently sees him starting his day with a well-paddled backside. An order phoned into his shop sends his thoughts into turmoil, as he recognises the name and phone number of the person placing the order. The order is from an old lover and seeing his name awakens all kinds of emotions. Lee... More > is confused and wonders whether he’s still in love with Adrian, a man he hasn’t seen or heard from in 7 years. If he still loves Adrian, does that mean he doesn’t love Tony; after all they haven’t been getting on well lately?

Tony is a Master Jeweller and he isn’t having an easy day of it. Lee seems determined to flout his authority at every turn, from his shock announcement at breakfast, to refusing to meet him for lunch, and then to driving the shop van when Tony has forbidden him to drive. He thinks he knows the reason. Lee is angry with him because he accepted a commission to design and make pearl and diamond earrings for Lee’s mother. The commission came from Joe, Lee’s much-resented stepfather and Lee reckons Tone should have refused to accept it.

Lee’s reasons for resenting Joe and his past with Adrian are gradually revealed. There’s a nice adjunct to the main story in the form of a thread involving Tony’s 18-year-old ward, a precocious wannabe floral artist by the name of Darren who is enough to try the patience of a saint.

Tony deals with both Lee and Darren in time-honoured head of household fashion and both end up over his knee for some well deserved discipline.

A very good read with some nice discipline scenes. There’s the usual mix of humour and romance with some thought provoking observations on life and love. Recommended across the board for all fans of fetish and spanking related romance fiction.
