Spots of the Godly and of the Wicked (Burroughs)
In this present work, Jeremiah Burroughs deals both kindly and forcibly with a peculiar angle on the doctrine of sin and sanctification. In comparing the manner in which the unconverted sin in parallel to the manner in which saints still sin, even the best of saints, Burroughs explains how sin affects these two groups, and how God deals with both as a result. He works masterfully from Deuteronomy 32:5, “Their spot is not the spot of his children.” The wicked have spots. The godly have spots. But the nature of these spots is what makes these sermons so powerful and utterly practical for the saint who understands the ways of Christ and God in their own sanctification. The spots of the wicked are not like the spots of the righteous. Burroughs explains why this is the case. The reader will be left to read to find out “why”.

How does God save sinners? This fundamental question is of the highest importance for every human being that has ever lived. The answer is given in the Bible - God is a covenant keeping God who saves sinners through the work of Jesus Christ – the Mediator of the Covenant of Grace. With keen insight, Samuel Rutherford unfolds the manner in which God save sinners seen through the three theological and biblically centered covenants found in the Bible: the Covenant of Works, the Covenant of Grace, and the Covenant of Redemption. The Two Wills of God (McMahon)
THROUGH THE CENTURIES, hard questions have been deliberated concerning God’s will. Understanding God’s will and how it theologically functions in relationship to man’s salvation can be a daunting task. Answering some of those questions from the Scriptures brings clarity and helps us understand the glorious God that we serve. Have you ever wondered:
Does God love only the elect?
If God does not desire the wicked to perish, is God’s will frustrated when the sinner goes his own way?
Why is God seen as “repenting,” or “sad,” and even “changing His mind”?!
What is “common grace,” and is it really found in the Bible?
Does God desire things He does not decree, and does He decree things He does not desire?
How many wills does God have?
This book gives the Christian the proper hermeneutical tools to define “God’s will” and how that will works in and through redemptive history.

A Simple Overview of Covenant Theology
COVENANT THEOLOGY systematizes the biblical information concerning the manner in which God saves sinners through Jesus Christ. It places the Bible into a covenantal framework that makes biblical sense. The Bible speaks of salvation in terms of “covenant.” God is a covenant God who saves His people through covenants. The three main theological covenants of the Bible are the Covenant of Redemption, the Covenant of Works and the Covenant of Grace. These are theological terms that are packed with biblical information dealing with the way God saves sinners. When someone asks, “How does God save people?” the answer lies within the framework of Covenant Theology. So, it is the intention of this work to unpack those terms and make the information in them accessible to the reader in a clear, accurate and biblically helpful manner. (From the Introduction).

Eternity Weighed in the Balance: The Bible's Teaching on Heaven, Hell, & Salvation
ETERNITY IS A LONG TIME. Four out of five people believe in heaven and hell, but what does the Bible say about eternal life? Perhaps you have asked yourself these questions:
Are heaven and hell REAL?
How can a loving God send people to hell forever?
Is heaven just for good people?
How can I live forever with God?
Will God let me into His heaven?
Does God love me?
Where will I go when I die?
Does God have a plan for my life?
These are the most important questions of life, and very few people have real answers. God’s answers to these questions are in the Bible. The author answers these inquiries and more in this brief study of the Bible’s teachings of heaven, hell, and salvation.

The Atonement
WHY DID JESUS CHRIST DIE on the cross? Throughout Church history one will find many different answers. The right answer is critical to salvation and entering into a right relationship with Jesus Christ. This current volume is a masterful biblical survey and polemic that illuminates the Bible’s doctrine of Christ’s atonement.
As the 1859 Preface states: “It is doubted whether any other work of the same compass presents so clearly and forcibly the truth of God as to the Nature, Truth, Perfection, Matter, and Extent of the Satisfaction made by the blessed Savior. The lucid arrangement of topics, compact argumentation, fairness of statement, and constant appeal to the law and the testimony, leave the careful reader little to desire.”
It had been said that Turretin is the best expounder of doctrine that the Reformed church has ever known, and this work on the atonement is an example of his exegetical, logical and practical insight into the work of our Lord’s life and sacrifice.

Puritan Preaching in England (Brown)
John Brown's purpose for writing this preachers' gem is to help ministers gain some practical guidance and spiritual stimulus as fervent preachers, by going back with him into the past to visit with Puritan Preaching and Preachers. He surveys those preachers who have laid more stress upon Scripture than upon ecclesiastical institutions. Such men there were even before the days of that Protestantism out of which Puritanism came. He follows the Preaching Friars of the Middle Ages, and such men as John Wickliffe and John Colet, who made Protestantism possible, before reaching Puritanism proper. He also gives some examples of more recent preachers (just before his own day) of those that carried the Puritan persuasion of experimental preaching into their own generations.

Overcoming Lust in a Sex-crazed World (McMahon)
The mind is a terrible thing to waste, especially when it is occupied with lust. This short book has been written as a helpful tool to those who want to know what they can do to rid themselves of the sin of lust. Lust is God-dishonoring, painful, and embarrassing sin. No man is safe when they turn on their TV or when they read a magazine at the periodicals section of the local bookstore, or even stand in line at the supermarket with the magazine covers on the shelf! Overall, every bit of ammunition that can be mined out of the bible to help us as men overcome the addiction of sexual sin, or of the temptations surrounding lust, will be a help to the battle for purity overall. It is with great prayer that this work will be of help to you.

The Covenant of God
Blake's work is a master treatise on Covenant Theology. It follows the formula laid down in the Westminster Confession and demonstrates every aspect of biblical covenant theology from a systematic and well thought through argument. As it was said of John Owen’s “Death of Death in the Death of Christ” so it may be said of this work as well – Blake doth exhaust the argument. This is a tome of the highest caliber on a topic that is most needful to be understood by the Evangelical Church today – Covenant Theology and inclusion in the Covenant of God.

The Covenanted Reformation
This work has been brought up to date and revised to drink from the wells of its zealous and hearty resolve for the truth by those who both preached and taught the doctrine which stood behind both the National Covenant in Scotland, and Solemn League and Covenant. These documents create a religious and binding foundation for the framers of the Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Catechisms. What was their purpose? To uphold the “reformation and defense of religion.” They desired this, 1) to preserve “the reformed religion in the Church of Scotland, in doctrine, worship, discipline, and government, against our common enemies,” and 2) to bring about the “reformation of religion in the kingdoms of England and Ireland, in doctrine, worship, discipline, and government, according to the Word of GOD, and the example of the best reformed Churches.” Such a consensus of unity on the issue of doctrine should be a hearty witness to the 21st century’s church.

The Writings of A Puritan's Mind Volume 1
To study the writings and sermons of the Puritans is one of the most profitable religious exercises the elect-saint can undertake. Those likeminded saints from bygone eras should be regularly read to exercise the Spirit's influence upon us through the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Those Puritans, however, are not alone, for they stood on the shoulders of other men, reformers, who desired to see the world transformed by the Gospel of God. In this first volume, A Puritan's Mind has collected ten individual unpublished writings that will be a blessing to the saint's journey here on earth while Christ tarries. They are refreshment for the soul ministering the Balm that may aid the most wearied Christian, or the most seasoned saint.
