With an impending move to Hokkaido, a rambunctious love-struck young dragon, a Kitsune that is still roped into helping test her, and two Tengu that are still applying her tests, which world is more important? Print: $10.00 Every girl yearns for adventure, romance and magic in their lives. BlowingWind had all of these and lost them, just as she was starting on what she thought would be the greatest adventure of her life. Now, she is being called out by the forces of life and undertaking the journey into adulthood alone. However, journeys always seem to entail healing, and a quest to find her lost love turns into something even greater.
Take Ryu is a boisterous magma ryugami trapped for five years beneath Mt. Fuji for the crime of becoming too engrossed in human affairs. Upon the end of his imprisonment he emerges to find a strange and undefended shaman woman within his territory. Falling prey once more to his kind heart he too is swept up in the threads of a destiny that neither human nor dragon could have ever believed.

Print: $16.56 Download: $7.00 BlowingWind, a young woman of Native American and Celtic descent, falls in love with Obsidian, a boy she at first believes to be human but later discovers on the night of her 18th birthday to be the guardian spirit of Medicine Lake, near the sacred Mount Shasta in California. The night before her High School graduation he meets with a bad end, setting her journey of self discovery in motion which ultimately takes her away from everything that she knows and to Japan. There, as she searches for what the soul of Obsidian wishes her to find at the foot of Mount Fuji she meets with Ryu, a spirit of the mountain and bearing a striking resemblance to the soul she is searching for. By the time these two meet her own spirit is shattered, and it is up to Ryu and a mysterious concurrent incarnation of Obsidian to begin the process of healing her spirit and mind. However, she has her own destiny that waits to be fulfilled, and spirits from both her old and new lives have tests for her. Contains paintings.

Print: $12.01 Download: $6.00 Magic is that breath never quite caught, Flowing always just behind the scenes, And only glimpsed when sought.
The spirits of the past and present call out to those with the ears to hear. The worlds of the Kami and Mankind are not far apart, and perhaps the border is only in the mind.
Primarily this was intended to be a collection of poetry inspired by and retelling some stories from Japanese Mythology and feeling the path of Shinto generated while working on my first novel. However, it has become much more. Meditate upon the poems and a flower unfolds slowly before your eyes, allowing a glimpse into a world unseen.

Teresa Huddleston-Garcia's Blog
2008 Mar 28 Lupa blogged about the latest developments in the Amazon.com against small presses. Basically, they don't want to carry books for small presses (who often do Print On Demand books), unless they use Booksurge, which is Amazons answer to that. Booksurge is expensive... so I don't use it... >.> I use Lulu, though since Immanion/Megalithica Books use Lightning Source I'll check into that. Anyway, it's best to comment and read from lupabitch's blog. The type below will take you directly to the post I'd like to draw attention to. Amazon trying to screw small presses?I really would appreciate giving her post plenty of traffic and feedback. THG StarDragon is not going out of business by any means.
2007 Oct 05 I'm currently working on chapter 13 for the second Dragon Shaman book. After a few setback, it is coming along nicely. I've also been given a site by a friend to use to help promote my books. - chuckle* Interestingly enough, one of the names that he's known as is Obsidian.
I've also been considering doing another poetry collection, so there will be more news in the future.
2007 Apr 27 That's right, the long awaited poetry book is ready. Despite computer and art setbacks, family illnesses, marital problems (don't ask), and almost nearly everything else that life can throw at one I have made it through. The official release is May 1st, but I've got it open now for bookstore stocking purposes.
2006 Dec 31 My dedicated work computer is down and has been down for a while. Figures that it has all the art programs on it that I normally use, and that I hadn't burned progress to CD on "Dragon Shaman Two: The Smoky Mirror" just yet.
I am currently finishing up a small vacation, but when I get home I'll see what can be done to at least transfer my text files to prevent too much loss of productivity. Things will get back to normal after the purchase of a new power supply.
2006 Dec 22 Call of the Kami is still slated to be released May 1st. I am planning to add in the illustrations after the New Year.
The working draft for Dragon Shaman 2 is undergoing revision, but still is slated for release in September 2008 at the very latest.
2006 Oct 01 The first book of Dragon Shaman is now available in E-book format as of 8:51 AM Pacific Time. The Next installment is scheduled to be released in September of 2008. Meanwhile, a book of poetry and handbook of living by Shinto, Call of the Kami, is due to be released on May 1st, 2007. Excerpt from Call of the Kami: Title: Return to Me From Chapter: Courting Dragons A flower blooms As she grooms Opening petal Treasures to the sun. A wind blows leaves As if to tease With fingers soft Through a mane. Close not your eyes To the blue skies Until my Pearl Flares in your hand. Once the fire burns And the waters churn Cast it not aside But return to me.
2006 Sep 20 I just wish this person had told me who they really were... Yeah, somebody wanted to list me and my stuff on Wikipedia No idea who, the name in the email said BlowingWind MountainChild. Here's what she said. I ran across your works and I think you are great. Keep up your work. I was trying to list you on Wikipedia, but apparently you aren't notable enough yet. Oh well. Oddness... Thank you Mystery Person!
2006 Sep 16 The Ebook version of my novel will be released October 1, 2001. In addition to the story, it contains supplementals, such as concept art done during and for the story by myself, poems that were hidden in dialog reprinted at the end in the layout they were originally written in, and the story behind the story.
2006 Sep 15 BlowingWind, a character that first developed in my mind when creating some stories for my daughter involving another dragon and human couple, quickly showed a great deal of promise as an engaging character. The same happened with her partner Ryu, and before I knew it they had stolen the lime light in those stories, which started to get out of hand anyway as relationships within the couple increased. That was a fun ride, and with the encouragement of friends that I met along the way (and chapters of the stories that came from that waiting until my daughter can actually understand the word play that some missed) I set out on another adventure focusing on BlowingWind and Ryu. In other words, I had to tell the story of how they met in the first place. It started out as a flashback, but then I couldn't leave it alone. A year and a half-give or take a few months, the manuscript was finished in it's first revision, and then dragged me through 22 proof-readings. Sometimes, it felt like my star characters were dragging me by the nose. Now, it is in print, and will be soon available for download with some supplementals attached. I'm rather looking forward to when Jewel and Huetziatl enter her life, but that is literally for the future, and some of the events that spawned my vision of where everything will end I have to change, which makes this even more fun. But I digress! Dragon Shaman is alive and well, and I have never been more excited. I think the only way I could be more so is if I got to meet both J.K. Rowling and Hayao Miyazaki. Actually, it would be rather interesting to see what Miyazaki-san could do with my ultimate storyline.
