Romayne Wheeler

Ever since I installed my Steinway concert grand piano at the edge of the precipice, nothing beacons me to another place. I've finally arrived where I yearned to arrive! Now I am following a more arduous journey: my endless inner pilgrimage. I desire to sharpen my musical sensitivity, to explore, reshape and transform my experiences, thoughts and feelings, so they can harmonize with all that rings true within me and they may rhyme with the vast panorama that envelopes me. The music that is born of this symbiosis is the breath that maintains me alert and alive. I want to feel the pulse of everything around me. Then, as I pulse the keys of the piano, I seek to interpret the meaning of it all. The music of my life yearns to be in harmony with The Infinite One: the Absolute Power that created me. Thus I am also part of His Master Plan. When united with Him, I see no reason for conflict, division, nor solitude, because the blood that flows in my arteries is the same vital force that sustains the rhythm of life as it flows through the universe. Now, as I observe the mountain crests dissolving into infinity, the brief space that I occupy for my my biography is almost lost in the magnitude of time and space. From deep within me rises a mysterious musical theme, breaking away from all that is perishable to rise with nostalgic wings soaring toward The Eternal One. Although my body is vulnerable and it may fail me in any moment, I feel a vital force within me: the Eternal Spiritual Current. My fragile body is only an envelope that is mailed from one continent to another. But my soul is a timeless poem entitled with my name. It longs to live beyond the reach of journals and daily affairs. My spirit breaks away from all barriers in order to achieve universal expression. The sound and pulse of the millennia vibrate within me; they eliminate the limitations of the human mind to flow without impediment. ROMAYNE WHEELER.
