Jeremy C. Schwendiman

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jeremy C. Schwendiman is a Juris Doctor of Law having graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law. He also has a degree in History from Brigham Young University and loves ancient Balkan history having lived in Croatia for two years. He is currently the president of the Wyoming Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is supported by his beautiful wife Joanna whose love always sustains him.

After training at Camp Atterbury, IN, the unit moved to Europe and participated in the greatest military conflict in global history, World War II. Following D-Day, the hospital moved along with General George S. Patton and the U.S. 3rd Army as it pushed towards Germany. John Smith, Uncle of the Prophet

He was the first of Joseph Smith Jr.'s relatives to accept the gospel message and be baptized. Following missionary service in New York, John and his family joined the saints in Kirtland, Ohio. Being called to lead the saints at Adam-Ondi-Ahman, John witnessed as mobs and government officials destroyed the saints' homes, stole their property, and issued an act of total extermination. Following the blissful years in Nauvoo, John traveled to the Salt Lake Valley as the saints were again driven from their homes. After leading the saints in Salt Lake City during Brigham Young's return trip to Council Bluffs, John was called to be the patriarch over the entire church.

DAN JONES
A biography of Captain Dan Jones, an early Mormon missionary, riverboat captain, and friend of the prophet Joseph Smith. He was captain of the Mississippi riverboat "Maid of Iowa" which serviced many Mormon settlements along the Mississippi River. The night before Joseph Smith Jr. was martyred, the prophet promised that Jones would not be killed by the mob. Thereafter, he fulfilled two missions to his homeland, Wales. In addition, he became the first mayor of the Utah city called Manti and was also involved in surveying the Southwest with Parley P. Pratt and others. He served a full life and was an example to all of a life dedicated to the Kingdom of God.

A True American

He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. Then he joined the 39th Evacuation Hospital and served during World War II. He returned from the war and had a family. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas. As he aged, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. He died having lived the American Dream.
