This book is a group of fantastic short stories from another planet. Ten completely new and different short stories within these pages describe a unique although not exactly human being, yet they are tales about more than just special people, the Martians. This is science fiction about not only space ships, but also about believable, extraordinary, extrasensory beings. In my stories I have tried to find not only Martian space ships but also the Martian mind. Mars is a planet that will always hold our fascination, even if we never leave the Earth.

His mind, his training, and his dedication are all that hold him to his quest to make contact and take advantage of a mysterious hidden culture. He is swept up into a new world he is not prepared for and has to survive to save the Earth from destruction...........Her eyes were so intense that for a moment I thought she had seen me, but it was something else. The quick movements, all of them made were inhuman, more like hyper-robotic. They were all female but they moved almost as if they were electronic. It was astonishing; the movements they made. They were robotic. They had to be! Nothing human could move that way or want to, comfortably........

A book of selected poems by me, Cliff Rhodes. I designed the cover for this book myself. It is taken from a watercolor I painted of an old bridge on 494 Hwy. in Newton county.
This is a collection of my sketches I dug up from my studio art days and passion in art. It has many pages of studio sketches, reference sketches, life sketches, landscape drawings, photos of paintings, and meanderings of the mind that I have done over the years. I also put in some court room trial drawings which I did in my spare time when I was working for a local newspaper. I had a curiosity about the trial, a willing ink pen, and lots of interest in a local mystery that could never be solved.
A book of selected poems and stories by me, Cliff Rhodes. This is the second edition of my poems and is an ongoing work that will be added to on a timely basis. This book contains all of the 2007 poems, a few stories, and the writings of 2008. At a later date I will design my own cover but right now it is a stock Lulu.com design, yet a very beautiful picture of trees not unlike we have here in Mississippi. In my local area there is a lot more undergrowth with plenty of briars but there are also wild roses in Spring.
