The Highs and Lows of a Self-published Author

Oh dear. I read the instructions and followed them as best I could and I STILL have a mistake in my book!!! I've had a review (thanks to Jeff Donahue, who wrote 'No Finish Line') and he pointed out that my contents page bears no resemblance to my page numbers... D'OH!!!! In changing my spacing, and checking religiously my page numbers, I forgot entirely that I even had a contents page...!

A lesson hard learned methinks... The sequel should run an awful lot more smoothly for all these mistakes! biggrin

Anyway, as I said just now, I have my first review and it's great because it means that someone has actually read my book. Hooray! mrgreen

I am very pleased and excited to announce that the first book, 'The Tale of the Secret Keeper'has now been approved and will be more widely distributed in the next couple of weeks. biggrin Now if someone would like to review it? biggrin

Work has halted a bit on the sequel, but that's only because I've had little time to write. I hope to get the bulk of the story down in the summer though... watch this space!mrgreen

Yippee! :)

Well much has happened in Serendipus since I last wrote... mrgreen

First of all the first chapter of book two is done. smile It flowed quite easily, which I hope is a good sign... but will need editing a bit. I may also decide to make one chapter two and expand bits of it instead of trying to cram it all in. biggrin

The second bit of news is that The Tale of the Secret Keeper is now also available at Walker's Online Bookshop smileA great start. biggrin

Don't forget my website: The Chronicles of Serendipus if you're interested in learning more... wink

Weelll...

I've finally found my way to my blog! :) That probably means that nobody else will, but I can hope.

The sequel, the second book in the Chronicles, is now on it's way... I'd had the first chapter lurking for a while but had not got very far; suddenly it's flowing. Good. mrgreen

I've also managed to set up e-cards on the Serendipus website: The Chronicles of Serendipus

Now if someone would just look at the book and the website... biggrin

Anyway, those interested - watch this space for news of the sequel.
