Getting Real details the business, design, programming, and marketing principles of 37signals. The book is packed with keep-it-simple insights, contrarian points of view, and unconventional approaches to software design. This is not a technical book or a design tutorial, it's a book of ideas.
Anyone working on a web app — including entrepreneurs, designers, programmers, executives, or marketers — will find value and inspiration in this book.
37signals used the Getting Real process to launch five successful web-based applications (Basecamp, Campfire, Backpack, Writeboard, Ta-da List), and Ruby on Rails, an open-source web application framework, in just two years with no outside funding, no debt, and only 7 people (distributed across 7 time zones). Over 500,000 people around the world use these applications to get things done.
Now you can find out how they did it and how you can do it too. It's not as hard as you think if you Get Real.
"Influential and inspiring book" This book was very helpful to me. I have found that you can readily apply it to any kind of project you might like to create. It is funny, fun, and embodies the spirit it espouses. Keep it simple. Get to the point. Have fun. It is about a way of creating things that keeps work fun, and gets products out fast, where they can be responded to by the actual users, and modified based on their feedback as required. Of all the business and marketing books I have read in the last year, this is one of the top ones. The only thing is: Don't assume it just applies to software! It doesn't.
"It's My Bible" Seriously, i swear by this book. I read the online version then i got the PDF version i just had to get the hard copy of this, its is the best purchase i have made. Its something that has to be read as a hardcopy not on a screen.
"great read" This was a really great read. In fact worth more than books that sell for double the price. It's really got me thinking about ideas to develop apps for my Bluestone business.
Excellent book for anyone who is thinking of developing a profitable activity on the Internet. I will buy a copy to my business of webdesign development and implement the concepts discussed. Thanks.
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes. Ive looked at Adios max reviews and tried african hoodia gordonii. Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight. First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing, what is the best weight loss pill.
