ONE HUNDRED YEARS
Celebrating the Library's Centennial
On July 2, 1908, a group of citizens opened the Fulton Public Library in rented rooms on the second floor of the Odd Fellows building. 100 years later, the Callaway County Public Library celebrated its centennial with programs throughout the month of July, 2008.
The Callaway Writers Group joined in the celebration by co-sponsoring a writing contest. Writers were challenged to write an essay, a short story, or a poem that happened (or could have happened) in Callaway County during the past 100 year.
