The early history of Christianity in Britain is rich in legend but the written sources are sparse. Using archaeological, liturgical and reliable historical texts Abba Seraphim examines Britain's place in the Early Church, and its connections with both Rome and the apostolic churches of the East, to show that despite its remoteness, its contribution to mission, art and culture was considerable.
