What a delight to see this book offered in print again after so many years. Folks here in town have been waiting and asking for so long! This is the one title that is known to all, and those who have had copies of the first publishing have jealously guarded them, leaving the rest of us to beg and borrow! The book is a fact filled journey through this unique town's history. One can muse oneself with countless anecdotes of the town forefathers, acquaint oneself with intimate details of their daily lives, and amaze oneself at their business ingenuity and capacity to create wealth. Onc can also take oneself out for a guided tour of the town which is presented in the back pages of the book. For history buffs, the prints and photos delight and can inspire one to visit such town gems as the Historical Library and Museum on 20 Fourth Street to continue one's investigation into this town's history with their hundreds of photos and documentation.
