Divorced and disillusioned, Trent Black is a low rent beat cop with an unremarkable history. Blessed with an ability to drive fast but little else, his career prospects and excitement in the job are at rock-bottom. But all that is about to change. His attendance at a routine incident is about to turn all that he has known on its head. When his colleagues meet a violent death, he finds himself framed for their Murder and running for his life from an Organised Crime Group, the Military and his Police colleagues. Black must now rely on his wits and policing skills to keep him alive and ahead of his pursuers while he attempts to unravel what has happened to him and bring an end to his desperate situation.

Think of a mix of Andy McNab and C.S. Forester. The sort of book where the action starts within a couple of page turns then you want to know how the hell he's going to get out of the next problem. A book that blokes will pick up and read rather than skim, due to the factual content. I got it before a planned hospital stay, started to read it then didn't stop so I didn't have anything to read before & after my op! A few typos so suggest the author gets a good proof reader for the sequal which I hope he will crack on and write.

Highly recommended read and as with other reviews this was not a book to put down easily (I actually finished it at 0430 in the morning as I did not want to wait until the next day) .... an ordinary bloke thrown into an extraordinary set of circumstances and written at a cracking pace to keep you wanting to turn the next page .... and routing for Trent all the way

Definitely "un-put-downable" - this is a fast paced thriller, and it was not until I reached half way that the thought occured to me, "this could actually happen!!" The read provided me with thought provoking ideas surrounding the shadier, more disreputable and dubious characters that may exist amongst high ranking military and police officials. Don't wish to give too much away, suffice to say I fully recommend this book !

I bought this book as the author is a friend and was not too sure what to expect. I don't read many books but this one is FANTASTIC, I started and could not put it down. The story line is fast and ongoing with little going on that's dull, I was gripped with in a couple of chapters, I rarely read a book from cover to cover in one hit, but this one goes on a very short list that includes Adrian Mole!!! If you like a book with some very inspired twists then this is one to BUY IT and you won't regret it.
