The story takes place against the backdrop of a reality TV talent show series, where gradually the contestants are being murdered by an unknown killer. Through many plot twists & dead ends, the police gradually piece together who the killer might be, all the time working against the TV executives who produce the show & love the ratings boost that the murders are giving them. Along with the laughs & the murder plot though, it does make you think about the way that the press & the public are manipulated like puppets - all the more so when the police in the story start to realise that they are being manipulated in a similar way. I'd definitely recommend this book - I dead it over the Christmas break & enjoyed every minute of it, despite the fact that I never managed to guess who the murderer really was until the end. Apparently the Author is working on another novel at the moment - hopefully he is more successful getting it published & that it gets the publicity... More > it deserves.< Less

"Great" I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. Found it very hard to put down and it kept me guessing all the way. I also loved the gentle jabs it takes at modern society! A very good read.

"Read this book, it's brilliant" It's clever, it's funny it's gripping and I loved it. Didn't guess who did it till the big reveal, and I really did stay up all night to finish it and find out.

"Fantastic" I do actually love this book. A thoroughly modern tale of celebrity wannabes and good old fashioned murder. A gripping and hilarious page turner. You should definitely read this book.

"I loved this book" From the hilarious twist within the first page to the very end, this novel is a joy. Its humour never flags, the dialogue is crisp, and it shows a lightness of touch thoughout. The central idea - that contestants in a Pop-Idol-alike TV show are being successively bumped off by a serial killer - is a good one. But it is the way this storyline is combined with a satire on celebrity and the media that makes the book so special. And all this while still managing to be a very funny page-turner. Read it!
