This is a sweet comic about a child, Katie, and her imaginary friend Ship the sheep. I've very much enjoyed these strips, especially the inclusion of story lines that go back in time to when Katie's mother was a child. I was a little disappointed with the layout of the book, though, as the comics are not in chronological order, and there is a lot of wasted space, which made the book more expensive that it should have been for the amount of content.
"Count Your Sheep, Volume 1" Count Your Sheep is a web comic about a girl, her mother, and the imaginary sheep that they both can see. It's definitely one of the finer webcomics around, and deserving of anyone's time. I don't see much point in reviewing the comic itself, since anyone can read it for free off the site. Personally I've been reading it and enjoying it for quite awhile now, and picked up the book mostly to show support for Ramos, the creator. That said, I'm really glad I did. This is one of those comics that is actually greatly improved just by being able to hold it in your hands, turn the pages, and lay on a couch while reading it. There is original content, Ramos does some brief essays and commentary on individual strips and the ideas behind them, which definitely adds to the value of the book. But the main thing is that this feels like a comic meant to be printed. Something you can carry around, put on a bookshelf, and take down and just flip through... More > sometimes without having to do a google search or find a URL. Worth the money if you're a fan, or wish to show support for what is definitely one of the better webcomics around.
