Forced Flow

ByAdriana Sevila

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In my story, the narrator finds herself surrounded by water. In the beginning, the water is pushing her through the building, forcing her out. When she is free of the water in the building, she realizes she is the only human left on the planet. She travels in darkness with some light of the moon, which has been broken into three parts. By the end of the story, the narrator falls into a river and floats away on it. The struggle the narrator goes through is an allegory for the time when I first arrived to Boston. When I moved into my new apartment, new to living on my own, I felt overwhelmed my loneliness and constant movement of others. I was dizzy and often confused. The fear of living on my own was similar to that fear of jumping into the dark cave of water. By the end of the book, I have become more comfortable with the busy city, and allowed the commotion to move me, and I became apart of the city.
