The blurb for this book claims it to hold "edge of your seat action." After reading it, you will realize it is the toilet seat they refer to, and the edge of the seat action is undoubtedly the move to use this paper for the only practical reason I can fathom for it. It is an unfortunate collection of juvenile writing and art, with Skiver's original creation, Prof Stone, bottoming out the list. I received this book for free, and still feel I overpaid for it. Looking back at this review, I am too harsh with other stories in it. Skiver's story is garbage, plain and simple. The Barry Reese piece on his character The Rook was entertaining, and Art Sippo's installment of Sun Koh held my interest, although why Skiver has a chapter from the middle of Sippo's story as a stand alone tale defies logic. Rather than being a jumping on point for the reader, it creates confusion. The Dan Turner cartoon and the western story were OK, you probably need to be a fan of those characters to... I can only wholeheartedly agree with the previous reviewer. It's trash like this that makes me wish I were illiterate (and not so stupid to purchase Mr. Skiver's futile attempts at writing).
Refreshing...
