If you like a good fantasy read similar to Ed Greenwood, R.A. Salvatore or even Tolkien to an extent, then this story is right up your alley. The author has done an amazing job as far as detail is concerned (which I really value when it comes to fantasy books) and the characters all have very unique personalities to provides a good contrast for the story line. I really like the dwarf Grilom!!! Even spoke how you would imagine a dwarf should speak. Basically Junbay, a swordmaster and a apprentice swordsman named Revial lose their master tragically one day in a gruesome fight scene and set out on a journey to find their master's cold blooded killer and encounter some unlikely friends and foes along the way. Junbay is a bit stern and Revial is a bit inexperienced so they must learn to work with each other. Once again, the contrast in characters really make this story pop off the pages in my opinion. I am giving this book 5 stars because it is not every day I run across an indie fantasy... More > writer that already has the ability to captivate me so quickly. I look forward to reading the next book, because that simply cannot be the end to this. Give me more!!!< Less
