Firstly, any assessment of U.S. presidents in which Jimmy Carter comes out as third best, which he does by this author's reasoning, is instantly suspect. In addition, to suggest that dropping the atomic bomb on Japan in WWII had no impact on bringing that war to a close is uncommonly shortsighted, regardless of the moral position one takes on the use of such weapons. Finally, to list Barack Obama even among the presidents with a mixed record because of speculation that Obamacare will save tens of thousands of lives each year over its lifetime shows a simplistic bias that calls all of the author's other reasoning into question.

Simplistic premise from a mediocre academic who cannot escape his bias. Waste of time.

More of an overgrown term-paper than a 'book'.
