If you are reading this, you (like me) probably have pain in your shoulder or knee, and are looking for more information about the source of your problem. Interactions with your doctor was probably hurried, with the physician giving lots of useful information in a very brief amount of time. Later in the day, you got home, and thought...."what did he say? What is a SLAP tear? What is knee arthroscopy? Is physical therapy going to help my problem? Ugh!" Well, Dr. Reznik and coauthor Jane Reznik have all the answers you need, and more answers to questions you didn't even think of asking. Using a language that is easy for the lay person to understand, the Reznik's clarify a number of very complicated topics. Nine chapters deal with injuries to the knee and 8 chapters explain injuries of the shoulder. The book is well illustrated. The appendix adds a useful glossary, a FAQ section entitled "Q & A with Dr. Reznik", and great advice on "Making the Most of Your... More > Office Visit." The "Knee and Shoulder Handbook" provides the equivalent of a full day consultation with one of the country's premier orthopedic surgeons, for less than the cost of a single visit's deductible. You won't find a better value in medical care anywhere. Anyone even thinking of having surgery on their knee or shoulder should read this book first. Highly recommended!< Less
