About Alan Vitello

From 1987 to 2015 editorial cartoonist Alan Vitello created over 4,000 cartoons for dozens of daily and weekly newspapers all over Colorado. His worked reached tens of thousands of Coloradans, in every corner of the state. “Vitello’s View,” as his panel was called, appeared in 19 consecutive editions “The Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year.” He won awards for his work, from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Colorado Press Association. Yet, after all those thousands of cartoons, Vitello somehow still managed to remain anonymous outside Colorado and even in the communities where his work appeared! Until now.
