The author is a close family friend of the Minges family who bought the rights to Mountain Dew from the Tips Corporation in 1957, changed the formula, and convinced Pepsi to distribute and eventually make Mountain Dew a part of PepsiCo. Loaded with historical facts about the product and the Minges Bottling Company, one of the first Pepsi distributors in the country. A great read for Mountain Dew fans.
