This is a story of a young Polish boy who was taken away from his homeland during WWII. The book is a translation of his diary and it takes the reader through the raw emotions and hardships that he endured during this time. It details how he was transported to Norway via different POW camps. After working at the Norwegian POW camp for some time Aleksander plans his escape into Sweden. Being young, naive and having all the odds against him he amazingly makes it to safety. This is an educational and inspiring story and gives the reader yet another side of the WWII story.
