"This book rocks!" If it wasn't for Alex's Java book I would have dropped out of my 200 level Java course after the first project was assigned. Alex presents building blocks of this language in such a clear way that Java became easier to understand and build upon than other computer languages that I am already proficient in. Alex's book makes every textbook unreadable in comparison. Everything is easy to find and filled with thorough examples. If you need a Java book to carry you through a course or just a quick reference guide I highly recommend getting a copy of this book!!! - Mike, NY
