Saw this play at its premier about a year ago and it's cool to find it here. Pretty kick-ass. Of course it wasn't perfect but it was only a draft--I'm looking forward to see what the writer does in the future. I'm not much of a theatergoer usually, but this play struck me with its natural dialog and compelling themes. A friend and I stayed up until 5am having a philosophical debate sparked by this show. AWESOME stuff.

The Pen and the Sword is a true masterpiece. It is at once hilarious and moving, without casting a moral tone. The play examines the allure of vigilantism with a realism not captured even by Alan Moore's Watchmen, while never taking itself too seriously. Buy it now -- it might change your life.
