The book at the start is a bit slow but once it jumps into the main plot its nearly impossible to put down. When you reached the middle of the book your so draw into the the story line and all the crazy events going on in the pages you pretty much block everything else out until you finish reading it and put the book down! 4 out of 5 stars in my book!

Alexandria's book Nox is a very good first book. It has an intriguing story line that makes you want to keep reading and anticipate the next book that will be coming out of the Saga. Nox is the kind of book that you never thought you’d like, and then you get hocked on it. As a new righting there are some aspects of the writing that need to be developed more and there are also some editorial mistakes that need to be fix. Nox is a good book and I’d advise anyone and everyone to give it a chance and to read it.

Nox and I did not start off on the right foot. Alex takes some time to lay the foundation without giving away the heart of the story, so it took me 30 pages in three sittings to be hooked. But once drawn in, there was no turning back. The plot starts subtle, but grows steadily as the story progresses. Just when you think you know what’s going on, there’s a new twist. I knew it would be difficult to put down. “Nox, a Hybrid Story” is a hybrid story in more than one way. The backbone of the story follows a battle between two factions of Hybrids; demon-esque creatures that look like and mingle with humans. The Hybrid factions are at war with each other on Earth, and must go to significant trouble to hide the war from humans. Though there are definitely some fictional humps to overcome, Alex draws us cleanly through the Hybrids’ own problems as well as their need to blend into the people around them. And the story itself is a hybrid of several literary genres. Living among Humans, the... More > Hybrids face the challenge of acting like Humans – with all their idiosyncrasies – while needing to hide their own instinctive desires to rip them to shreds. Using the pretense of war, Alex presents a fluid tale of adventure and fantasy, splashed with romance. Needless to say, the interaction of Hybrids and Humans presents certain … challenges. And when one of the Hybrids crosses the line … well, you’ll just have to see for yourself. Overall, Nox was a very enjoyable read. I’d recommend it to anyone with an interest in fantasy. I’m glad that I stuck with it. I’m reminded that first impressions can be deceiving – especially if you’re a Hybrid.< Less
