Haunting, moving, witty, and relatable, Sorry If I’m Mumbling… has nothing to apologize for, bearing the distinct voice of a talented young poet. This short collection is the perfect quick read for a meditative Saturday afternoon, but words and imagery are sure to linger in the mind for long after. I soon found my list of favorite poems I wanted to revisit later growing almost as long as the book itself. As the poems explore love and death, joy and sickness, the cumulative effect is a profoundly personal portrait of a beautiful soul that still retains universal appeal. Though obviously the work of a young poet, the book refuses to be dismissed as naïve, displaying a sharp intelligence and understanding of the craft, further illustrated by a frequent willingness to deconstruct its own nature. It may not be the poet’s magnus opus; there seems to be stronger emotions bubbling under the surface, waiting to be revealed. However, as the first of sure-to-be-numerous publications from... Mumbling has never been so meaningful! Honest, vivid, sharp and emotional yet soothing, familiar and comforting. I feel the author exposes herself to the reader without apologies nor constraints. Wonderful set of poems to enjoy at a park or at home with some wine. I thoroughly enjoyed this treasure and will cherish it for a long time. Read it, feel it and breathe it!

This poetry is brimming with raw, real emotion and written with outstanding ability. The poems are as smart as they are evocative. It’s clear that Alexandria has a fantastic affinity with words as she conveys her thoughts and feelings eloquently in diverse ways. I absolutely love this book. I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this brilliant collection of meaningful poems. I’m very much looking forward to the future works of this talented writer.

Everyone should get this book. Seriously. Even if you're not a huge poetry person, you should give this book a chance. If you have ever felt the feeling of the raw ache of teenage angst, the strength of empowerment, or if have ever just felt like a space cadet lost among the stars, you'll find something strangely relate-able within the pages in this book. Plus, the book is completely portable and fits in my back pocket! How can it get any better than that? This definitely won't be the last time that we see Alexandria's name.
