"How the East Was Won by Alfred Opp" As I read this book, I found myself overshelmed and in awe of this story. This book touces people spiritually, practically, politically and historically. That it is written with such simplicity shows a God-given talent; because it is written honestly and from the heart makes the words even more profound. The story told in this book teaches that the strength of the home is the foundation of society. It teaches that where there are trials and tribulations human beings can overcome and triumph: the thread that holds humanity together is our commonality in God. This book deals with the weaknesses of humanity without complaints, without conceding to evil, and without condemnation. It shows that evil can be overcome by the unbreakable thread of the human spirit. Reading this book, one becomes entrenched in a different world and another time. The story is written with humility, intelligence, humor, pride and a generous sharing of the heart. ... More > Everyone has a story, yet few have or use their God-given talents to convey their story. Those who share their history give us a timeless gift. The story written in "How the East Was Won" is immortalized because it recognizes that truth will triumph. Thank you, Mr. Opp. Pam, Retired Newspaper Editor, in Burnaby, British Columbia< Less
