This textbook "ALGEBRA. A Mathematical Analysis Preliminary to Calculus" contains the fundamentals of Algebra most used in the University associated with the development of academic Calculus programs. Chapter one synthesizes the algebraic language. Chapter two deals with the algebra of real and complex numbers. Chapter three synthesizes the order in real numbers and coordinate systems. Finally, a resignification of the fundamental concepts arranged in this textbook is carried out, together with the recapitulation exercises and the respective solutions.
This textbook applies to university students in face-to-face or distance study programs. Its content is aimed at supplying the basic algebraic prerequisites, necessary to approach the calculation in the economic, administrative, social, or humanistic sciences.
