Hitched and Happy is a great read. It is well written and has a lot of excellent advice on building a sound and successful marriage. I was lucky enough to work with Allyson when she was the Human Resources Director at a W hotel in Atlanta and was always impressed by her wit and free spirit as well as by her competence and creativity. She was single then and I am now impressed by the maturity with which she approached her marriage. I think it is always a challenge to adjust to sharing your life with another person but when one spouse brings a child or children into the mix it must be a double challenge. Allyson handled all this with a lot of grace, thought, and insight. I especially love the list of things that she is grateful to her husband for at the end of the book. It shows just how much love and respect they have for each other. Any couple planning to marry would benefit in many ways from reading this book. Even an old married couple can learn a lot from it. Keep writing, Allyson,... More > your book is great, fun to read as well as informative.< Less

This was one of the most insightful relationship books that I've read in quite some time. It was so interesting and provided so many moments I have been in myself, and to see it from someone else's perspective was insightful. I am not married, but this does shine a light on exactly what your priorities are in looking for that "forever" mate, and how to keep that "forever". This is told in such a honest and humorous way that you can't help but to become engrossed in the book. Great job and I'm looking forward to reading another one from you!! I think you've found another niche beautiful lady!!!

An open and refreshing perspective on a contemporary marriage. A young, independent career driven woman who is on the corporate track opening her heart and life can pose many challenges. And most would be ill prepared emotionally and psychologically to embrace with such an open heart a ready made family . Allyson Harris is honest about the challenges of making it work. I absolutely loved it! Funny, insightful, filled with nuggets of advice for many couples who are trying to figure it out and riding through the rough patches to get to that sweet spot in their marriages. This is a great ode to her marriage as well as many others like hers. “Thumbs up”
