Sheathenry, Volume I: Ritual Practices of Modern Heathen Women

While stationed in Germany as a member of the US Air Force, Alvilldr in fägra felt called to the old goddesses and gods of ancient Northern Europe. After a decade in Europe, exploring museums and historical sites, she earned her Master's degree in History, specializing in Late Antiquity and Early Medieval Europe. While giving a workshop at a regional Heathen gathering she learned that one young woman was told Heathenry was a man's religion and had no place for women. Sheathenry, Volume I: Ritual Practices of Modern Heathen Women is Alvilldr's attempt to address this misconception. Part oral history, part ethnography, Sheathenry examines the personal ritual practices of modern Heathen women throughout North America and Europe.
