Samuel Floyd Irwin was the first born child of Elizabeth & Samuel Irwin born in the United States. Samuel Floyd Irwin was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1857 and died in 1937. After school he worked at John Wanamaker’s department store and rose to be treasurer, per family history. In 1899 he became treasurer of L. H. Parke Company, a seller of coffee, tea, spices and extracts in Philadelphia and later also in Pittsburgh, PA. This book covers the history of his sons, Samuel Clement Irwin, Donald Irwin and Edwin Floyd Irwin and grand children: Samuel Clement Jr., Richard P. Irwin, Floyd Thomas Irwin, John Myers Irwin, Donald Irwin Jr., Edwin W. Irwin, Howard A. Irwin, James M. Irwin, Grace Irwin DeHart and Sally Irwin Plumer. New Exhibits were added in recent years providing lots of historical family details. Extra special section on the family of Samuel Mitchell Clement and his family from Philadelphia. Includes a generation by generation history of the family from 380 to 2013. Samuel Floyd Irwin married two daughters of Samuel Mitchell Clement. Samuel Floyd Irwin’s younger brother also married a third sister. The Clement family is a direct descendant of Gregory Clement who was born in 1613, and was a judge at the trial of King Charles I. Clement sign the King’s Dealth Warrant.
