Therefore, and summing up, song must be considered as an integral part of our planning, with its own status, from which we can and must face the curriculum. The change is in our hands, since Royal Decree 1513/2006 and the Order of August 10th, 2007 only set the starting point, but not the finishing line. It is, therefore, a challenge for us to improve our teaching. We have to face them from the perspective of the teacher-investigator who develops a process of constant training relating theory to practice, helping him/herself to execute what has been imposed from the theoreticians, and who question his/her teaching practice from the light of the theory and vice verse. It will be everybody’s task to try everything we can in order to make this activity, which has traditionally had a marginal position without planning, acquire its corresponding category in a communicative approach to be widely used in the classroom.
