"the original Dr. Faust(us) short story" I love this issue! It contains the original version of Tragick Tale of One Doktor Faustus. Faustus is called Faust here, and "Tragick" is not spelt with a "ck" but "c" - most if not all of the James Joyce style creativity is not present in this short story (as it is in the novel), which makes this short version more Poe-like. The novelization has been done by Francis Damien. So it is said! Is he a relative of Francis Tokarski (lol)? Actually, I know them both and neither of their last names is Tokarski or Damien. One is FrancIs and one is FrancEs. Believe it or not! They are a married couple, male and female, with the same first names! They have contributed greatly to the Magazine of Unbelievable Stories. In fact, some of the original poetry from the very first draft of Faust(us) has been published in this publication. Originally, the story was a poem. From poem... To short story... To novel... ... More > Really, the next step ought to be a movie; but who out there is intelligent enough to recognize this genius?< Less
