Isaiah 49-57

Isaiah 49-57 (First Edition, November 2015, ISBN 978-0-9563841-7-1, 216 pages) situates these prophecies in the first years after the blockade of Jerusalem in 701. In this way they are ascribed to Isaiah of Jerusalem in keeping with the witness of Second Temple Judaism. The prophecies centre around Yahweh's invitation and encouragement to go out and retake the land after the Assyrian invasion. The major event in the background is the retrieval of the silver temple vessels from the borders of Egypt by the Arm of the Lord.
