A 1000-word story for children of around 3-5 years, with bright collage illustrations and a gentle twist in the tale. Starts as a true story before diverging into fable. The basic narrative was invented on the spur of the moment, in the need for a new bedtime story. Older children will understand deeper levels than younger ones.
The illustrations were made by collages of cut-out painted paper (since I'm useless at freehand drawing), and were heavily influenced by "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "Goodnight Moon", and various 1970s children's TV animations.
