Recorder is Fun!

“Recorder is Fun!” is designed for young students, especially for vision impaired youths. The author, Angela Liu, uses note-by-note fingering chart approach and make learning recorder very easy. Recorders are simple to play and are a perfect way for us to learn basic music theory with a hands-on approach. This book consists of seventeen wonderful songs with note-by-note fingering chart. Angela Liu is a 17-year-old senior at Polytechnic School and has received numerous first place awards which include the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF) Open Baroque, and SYMF Open American. In 2014, she was selected to play a flute solo piece with Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra in The Young Artists’ Concert. She was the principal flutist of the CalState LA Symphony Orchestra/Olympia Youth Orchestra in 2014-2015. She made her debut at Carnegie Hall in December 2014.
