"Pale Shadows" A compelling biographical novel with changes of tone and style with each character's telling of the tale; their experiences are at once chilling and moving. I got a kick out of remembering the 80's fads and as a San Franciscan, I was titillated by the references to actual places. All these facets are entertaining but the world of witchcraft and pagan rituals are the true core of the allure of this book.

"A riveting parable." The writer's crafty wordplay captures every emotional nuance, every raison d'etre, creating a rich patina of imagery both beautiful and bleak. A magickal tour de force. Read it!

"Pale Shadows - Fascinating" The author has an amazing ability to bring to life the time, characters and events. You will not be able to put the book down. As soon as I finished I went back and re-read parts. A great effort; I hope we see more.

"Want to read something a little different?" Then Pale Shadows is the tome to buy. The author weaves a fabulous blend of fantasy and autobiography into a tale of magic, friendship, betrayal and the true test of one's honor and character amidst the backdrop of late 80's San Francisco. The writing is superb, the plot well thought out and executed and the characters are multidimensional and unforgettable. It is full of vivid imagery and feels at times like a movie. As a San Franciscan I loved seeing a time and place I remember sketched from such a unique perspective. The use of fantasy and reality is wonderfully rendered and the ending is not as one would expect. I look forward to re-reading the book whilst awaiting the author's next novel. A must!
