At first I was disappointed that this author is not the same as author as a favorite art historian who has written several books already. However, I feared I was being overly critical and decided to read the book. Unfortunately, my initial review was accurate. The short stories, broken up by day, were confused and pointless snapshots of the lives of implausible characters. For example, Monday is about a woman who may or may not be engaged to a man she may or may not care about while also in some relationship with some super-hot waiter at the bar who is being accosted by a bar full of Texan cougars. There is no indication as to why you should care about either relationship and what point there was to the story.

I love how this book captures the tone of events unfold around a restaurant with patrons and employees, Thursday is my favorite chapter....
